The documentary novel is based on the author’s professional experience, covering a year and a half of the conflict, from the start of the Abkhazia War to the end of the civil confrontation in western Georgia.
At the time Shorena Lebanidze worked for the newspaper 7 Dghe (7 Days) as a reporter and member of the editorial board. As a war correspondent, she had to travel to Samegrelo and Abkhazia with the pass issued in 1992 – the one on the book cover. The author’s intention is to show the tragic events from a new angle: murder, treason, rage and fury of the Georgian reality of the time, and the people who created the reality.
