Sodom and Gororrah, the fourth volume from the novel In Search of Lost Time, is the last work published in 1922 by the remarkable modernist French writer Marcel Proust in his lifetime.

The main storyline, developed naturally from the preceding volume The Guermantes Way, exposes the theme of moral decay of the high society with Baron de Charlus in the spotlight.

Proust is that sort of explorer who not only opens the door to the unknown world, but who was able to closely study the diverse nature, passions and aspirations of humans without even leaving his cozy room.
