The travelogues and memoires of the Kajar Period (1794-1925) are extremely significant sources due to the historical and cultural issues covered in them. The present collection of various writers is particularly important for Georgia because it is the first attempt at publishing a wide range of works – 65 in all. Five of them are by the Central Asian authors written in Persian, and are given as an addendum. The second addendum includes poems about Georgia written in the Persian language.
