The first publication in the History of the Georgian Church series is dedicated to the Monastery of the Cross in Jerusalem, one of the most important religious sites in Georgian history. The book is an attempt to describe and list those estates that belonged to the Monastery in Georgia, study their chronology and management. The book is an excellent opportunity to trace the long and somewhat turbulent history of the ownership and to study the relationship between the Georgian monasteries and the Jerusalem Patriarchate in the 11^th-17^th centuries.
