The musical piece was written in the spring of 1974 following a wager or rather an overconfident promise. It was first performed on 1 March on Gela Charkviani’s birthday and then on the same date in 1976. By then the plot had undergone several changes.
In 2006 Nargiza’s chamber version was recorded on a disc. The publication is richly illustrated with photos from the author’s personal archive.
