Akaki Chanturia was the founder and first director of the Zugdidi Museum (later called the Historic and Architectural Museum of the Dadiani Palace). In 1919 his article was published in the scientific journal The Physiologist in London. It was the first academic study of the geology of Georgia and despite the time span after its publication it will be interesting for present-day geologists.
